Reviews are important to us at Dog Owners Guide. Not only do they help other dog owners make informed decisions when discovering dog friendly places across the UK, while also providing businesses with valuable feedback that can help them improve.
Whilst we value every contribution, we also want to ensure Dog Owners Guide remains a safe, trustworthy and helpful platform for everyone. Please follow these guidelines when submitting a review:
Keep your reviews current
Please write about experiences from the last 12 months. Businesses can change over time, so recent reviews are the most helpful.
Reviews must be non-commercial
Reviews should not contain promotional content, advertising, affiliate links or marketing messages.
Be relevant and helpful
Your review should help other dog owners understand what to expect. Useful details might include dog treats, water bowls, dog welcome packs, suitability for different breeds, parking, accessibility, outdoor space and overall dog friendliness.
Avoid wider social commentary
Please do not use reviews to discuss politics, religion, ethics or other unrelated social issues.
Accommodation reviews
If reviewing accommodation, please only review your experience after check-in. Reviews based solely on booking, enquiries or pre-arrival communication will not be approved.
Keep it family friendly
Reviews must not contain profanity, offensive language or inappropriate content. Content that breaches these guidelines may be removed.
Protect personal information
Do not include sensitive personal information such as surnames, financial details, passwords, codes, phone numbers or private addresses.
Share original experiences
Reviews should relate directly to the place being reviewed and be based on your own genuine experience.

Remain unbiased
Business owners, employees and anyone directly affiliated with a business should not review their own business or competing businesses.
First-hand experiences only
Only review places you have personally visited. Reviews based on second-hand information or hearsay will not be approved.
Write meaningful reviews
Reviews should provide enough detail to be useful to other dog owners. Reviews containing fewer than 100 characters will not be approved.
Keep reviews fair and factual
You're welcome to share both positive and negative experiences, but reviews should be fair, factual and based on what you personally experienced. Avoid accusations, speculation or claims about a person or business that you cannot substantiate. We reserve the right to reject or remove reviews that don't meet these guidelines, or that we believe are fraudulent, misleading or submitted with the intention of unfairly damaging a business.
