The Swan Holme
The Vintage Inn, welcomes every member of the family including your beloved furry companion — after all they’re family too! Dogs are more than welcome inside, complete with a fresh bowl of water. From time to time, they may even have treats available, or doggy beer at the bar to keep your dog occupied. Dogs are only allowed in the bar area, as it’s the most relaxed part of the pub for them to be in. Here you can still enjoy the food menu and a wide variety of tipples to wash it down.

Admittedly, we haven't been here since the pubs have just re-opened, however they do have a lovely beer garden overlooking the lakes. If you just want a drink, then it is an ideal place to go, especially if you and your dogs take a lovely stroll around the lakes.
Me and my husband took Ursus (Newfoundland) and we met up with our close friends who had a gorgeous newborn with them. The weather was sweltering and we were all grateful to get a nice chilled alcoholic beverage.
We made sure to reserve a table (its a popular food pub) and told them we were bringing a dog. None of that was a problem! When we arrived, they had given us a great table close to the bar, and Ursus got lots of fuss from the bar staff and even got his large bowl of water packed with ice before the rest of us had ordered our own drinks!
The food was delicious and generous portion sizes. Despite a full pub, we weren't rushed and got our food and drink shortly after ordering.
And to top it all, Ursus got so much fuss and attention (more than the baby). He loved it as much as we did.
