Snug Hollow

A beautiful, locally handcrafted, rustic shepherds hut, oozing character in every corner you look

Nature loving and Eco-conscious owner, Jane, acquired Snug Hollow in the Summer of 2019.

Nestled in 15 acres of enchanting woodland and grassland on the fringe of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Snug Hollow has evolved from the owners deep love of the woods and nature. Her first project was to create a new woodland, providing wildlife corridors that will preserve and enhance the existing one. 1,925 deciduous trees and shrubs were part funded through the ‘More Woods’ scheme with the Woodland Trust. This was planted with great aid of 2 close friends during Dec 2020.

Since then until now, Jane has continued planting….Christmas tree alley, a row of beautiful Christmas trees and is in the process of planting a mixture of fruit trees and bushes, vegetables and medicinal and edible herbs in the fenced orchard, ‘The five a day Patch.’ And has also planted new saplings in the old woodland where trees have fallen.

Whilst busy maintaining the new plantation and installing mains water during 2023 Jane decided she would like to share this wildlife paradise and total peace and tranquility.

A big believer that humans and nature can co exist in harmony side by side….Oskar’s hut was born.

A beautiful, locally handcrafted, rustic shepherds hut, oozing character in every corner you look, using as many local and recycled materials as she could get her hands on including making curtain poles from fallen branches in the old Woodland.
