The Layer Fox
The Layer Fox is at the centre of the rural village of Layer de la Haye near Colchester. Over 300 years old, it re-opened as a Free House under new management in the summer of 2015 having been completely restored throughout in cluing the toilets and kitchen. All dishes are prepared and cooked on-site using local, seasonal produce whilst the menu is changed regularly. Dogs welcome everywhere save the main dining room.
