Ye Olde Smack
Ye Olde Smack history is rife with stories of smugglers and secret tunnels that camouflaged the contraband arriving into the Estuary. A smack is an old fishing boat that sneaks through the water like a snake, perfect for pirates back in the day.
Join your pup in this traditional English pub with views of the Estuary and cosy corners to enjoy a bite to eat and your tipple of choice. Dogs are welcomed by the friendly staff and there's always water available for your pooch. This busy pub has a range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks for the humans and always has a good vibe.
There's plenty of walking to do whether you want to go on the beach or stick to the path. But remember that dogs are only allowed on the beach from 1st October to 30th April and it can get very busy down there during the Summer months.
You can enjoy a snack from the cockle sheds or an ice cream from the kiosk whilst soaking up Old Leigh and all this quaint little town has got to offer.
