Whitlingham Country Park
Lovely walk, stretching out along the southern bank of the river Yare. It has a circular route around the lake that takes in meadows, woodlands and wetlands, with plenty of opportunities to detour off into the countryside. Dogs allowed outside cafe.

This is one of our favourite places to go. Whitlingham is a lovely open space full of lots of people doing different activities! The paths to walk on are well kept, and circulate around the lake with plenty of spots for your dog to jump into the water and swim! The walk takes about an hour when taking the most direct route around the lake, some bits can get a little muddy but never a problem for us. There are a lot of cyclists which you have to be mindful of, especially on some parts of the path where theres a hidden bend and you don't see them coming. However everybody we've encountered here is really friendly. Theres a cafe which provides your basic food and drink, with really nice outdoor seating. Only marked one down on Furiendliness as dog are not allowed inside. But all in all, still one of our favourite places to go in the summer!
