Whispering Waters Teesdale Lodges

Image

Three uniquely-designed ecologically-friendly lodges set along the banks of the River Tees in Teesdale. Designed and built by ourselves, the lodges are larch-clad, have meadow roofs that change with the seasons, and underfloor heating that keeps you toasty in the winter - supplemented by a wood-burning stove if you find it necessary. There're are even hot tubs where you can sit and watch the stars go by.

Each lodge has two double/twin bedrooms, two shower/WC rooms (one en-suite), fully-equipped kitchens, WiFi, large-screen TV and stunning glass doors providing you with ever-changing seasonal views to the South across the river.

Your stay with us is the thing that's most important to us! So it's important that things start well. To that end, when you arrive you'll find a small welcome pack comprising some essentials to get you started. It includes things such as milk, bread, orange juice, a few tea bags, some instant coffee as well as a few coffee pods and so on - so that you can at least start your holiday with a cup of tea!

There's some loo roles, hand soap, washing up liquid, cling film, foil, some logs, kindling and firelighters. Most of it won't last you your whole stay but it will get you going until you can visit the village shop or supermarkets in Barnard Castle or beyond.

There are tea towels as well as, of course, hand and bath towels. The beds are super comfy (so we're told), the pillows are deep and the bedding is luxurious. And both bedrooms can either be configured as twin rooms or double.

The kitchen has an induction hob, a grill/oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pod machine, fridge with freezer compartment and a dishwasher. And you'll have good quality cookware and kitchen tools.

There's a TV, WiFi and even a Google Home Mini.

And you'll find a few extras including, if you've a dog, a few dog treats!
