The Goshawk

The Goshawk is a rare and special country pub in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, offering gorgeous food, cask ales, wine and most of all, a warm welcome and great hospitality.

The pub is a beautiful, 19th Century, former coaching inn featuring a cosy public bar & relaxed restaurant. They’ve got bags of character, with the interior showing off many classic architectural features such as large fireplaces & attractive stout wooden lintels. There are public & private events rooms for your special occasions; the Delamere, Oakmere, Hatchmere and Sandstone rooms.

Featuring fantastic outside spaces – a mature beer garden, dining terrace and even a floodlit bowling green. The Goshawk is family friendly with a spacious garden and an adventure play area to keep younger guests occupied. They welcome well behaved dogs inside the pub, so feel free to bring your four legged friend along after a fantastic long walk around Delamere Forest and the surrounding areas. They’ve got plenty of parking, however as an alternative to driving they are opposite the train station that runs between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester.

The bar is filled with the JW Lees family of beers, including seasonal cask range, plus firm favourites; Manchester Craft Lager and JW Lees Stout. Expect a menu filled with both pub classics & freshly prepared daily specials using the finest seasonal ingredients. They recommend booking a table to guarantee a space. On weekdays they also offer a light lunch with both 2 and 3 course options.
