Howard Arms Restaurant
The Howard Arms is a modernised 18th-century inn that is dog friendly and situated in the Cumbrian market town of Brampton, which is about 10 miles from the centre of Carlisle.
The bar/ restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a range of pub favourites featuring on the menu. In addition to this, they also have a beer garden to be enjoyed in the nicer weather. Dogs are welcome in the bar. Bowls of water are also provided to your dog. The hotel has two resident dogs named Sam and Paris, who are ready to welcome new guests on arrival!
Dog friendly accommodation also available. Charles Dickens is reputed to have stayed overnight at this hotel so all 8 of the hotel rooms are named after characters from Charles Dickens novels and a lot of the artwork/ decor is also linked.
In terms of dog walking, there are some lovely scenic routes nearby including Talkin Tar country park and Hadrians Wall.
