Lodore Falls Hotel is a beautiful Lake District escape where dogs really are part of the family.
We’ve actually stayed here with the dogs, and it’s somewhere we’d happily return to even just for lunch or afternoon tea.
Set in a stunning location overlooking Derwentwater, the hotel has beautiful grounds and woodland walks right on the doorstep, making it a lovely base for exploring the Lakes.
There are dog-friendly bedrooms, and inside the hotel there are dedicated spaces where you can relax and dine with your dog including the Side Lounge and Conservatory. Dogs aren’t permitted in the main restaurants or Lake View Bar seating area, but the dog-friendly spaces are comfortable and welcoming.
And if you’re visiting without the dogs, there’s plenty to enjoy too. Afternoon tea is lovely, the setting is beautiful, and the hotel has added a fabulous spa experience in recent years, with thermal experiences and a hydrotherapy pool overlooking the Lake District.
The spa is, of course, a dog-free zone, but there are plenty of other ways to enjoy this beautiful place together.
A gorgeous place to stay, a lovely stop after a day exploring, or simply somewhere to enjoy lunch and soak up that incredible Lake District setting.
