Ingleton Waterfalls Trail
Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a stunning place to take your family and dog! It is located on the edge of the village of Ingleton, and is well sign-posted from the main A65 Skipton to Kendal road and is also easily accessible from Leeds and the M6.
The trail can take anything from 2-4 hours depending on how fast you want to go round but I guarantee you will want to keep stopping to explore and take in the spectacular views.
There is a well-defined footpath which you walk alongside a river with several waterfalls along the way. There are a large number of steps and although no difficult for kids, adults and dogs it would be unsuitable for those with pushchairs or in wheelchairs.
Strong, weatherproof shoes are advised as some of the path can be slippery.
You will have such a great walk here. There is so much to see and discover along the way with a pit stop cafe half way serving hot drinks and snacks. Ample picnic seating for the whole family to stop and have a breather. The whole trail is dog friendly and you won't have to worry about livestock but do take plenty of fresh water for the dog as there isn't any provided along the way.
You need to pay for parking which is currently £7 per adult and £3 per child. While this seems expensive, it is definitely worth the price for such a glorious walk and it helps with the upkeep of the trail to keep it safe.
Don't forget to check the website for seasonal opening times.

I'm not really one for paying for walks but this is a really well maintained, enjoyable trail which is fun for a family to visit.
