Marine Lake Boat Ticket Office

“We had such a lovely experience taking our dog out on the Marine Boating Lake. The staff were really friendly and helpful, making sure we were comfortable getting on and off the boat, and we loved that dogs are welcome. Our dog took to it straight away and wasn’t fazed by being on the water at all. You are allocated an area of the lake to use, as there are other boats on the water, so you don’t have free rein of the whole lake. We didn’t find this a problem, though, and there was still plenty of space to enjoy being out on the water together. Our Vizsla was completely unfazed by the swans, but it’s probably worth bearing in mind if you have a dog who gets particularly excited or agitated around birds! It was such a lovely thing to do together, and it made a really nice start to a day out. There are also plenty of options nearby if you want to make more of a day of it. The café on site is dog-friendly and often has live music, or, as we did, you can head further around the lake to the Lakeside Inn, a quirky little inn with great views across the water and really good-value drinks. A really enjoyable experience and one we’d happily do again. ”
