Hurst Castle Ferries, Keyhaven Rd, Keyhaven, Milford on Sea, Lymington SO41 0TR, United Kingdom
We took the ferry to Hurst castle in June 2021. We parked at the Keyhaven long stay car park, it is recommended to allow 3-4 hours for parking to take a return ferry trip and visit the Hurst castle. The ferry runs about every 20 minutes, we arrived just as a ferry was being loaded with passengers - about 10 people on board at one time so we had to wait for the next boat. You can purchase a single/ return ticket. Card and/or cash payments accepted. The ferry is a small little boat, no life jackets are required to be worn so it is up to the owners to keep control of their dogs at all times. Thankfully Pepperoni was very happy to just sit on our lap and enjoy the sea breeze in her ears during the trip. You get lovely views of the Keyhaven harbour and nature reserve as you head towards Hurst castle. If you chose to walk along the spit to Hurst castle instead, you can also purchase your ferry tickets at the castle entrance if you wish to use it for your return.
