Bushy Park
Linked to Hampton Court Palace by the Longford River, Bushy Park is famed for its mix of waterways, gardens and grassland, and roaming herds of red and fallow deer.
Look out for the bronze Diana fountain at the end of the mile-long Chestnut Avenue, designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Visit the Upper Lodge Water Gardens, Woodland Gardens and Pheasantry Café. And see if you can spot birdlife including woodpeckers, kingfishers and kestrels.
Did you know? During the Second World War, part of Bushy Park became the US air base, Camp Griffiss, and it was from here that General Eisenhower planned the D-Day Landings.
Bushy Park is one of London’s eight Royal Parks and covers an area of 1,099 acres.

Location
Bushy Park, Hampton Court Road, Hampton, UK
We regularly visit Bushy Park as it's one of my (and Rupert's!) favourite locations. The vastness and wildness makes it hard to remember we're in London as it feels miles away from the daily hustle and bustle. Dogs are encouraged to roam freely but are best kept on leads around the deer, there are dozens of litter bins and a good selection of dog friendly cafes and coffee stops on route.
Bushes Park is a great place for dog walks. Get there early to avoid crowds.
