Dog Owners Guide
“We had such a lovely stay at Richmond Hill Hotel. The biggest standout for me was the staff. Every single person we met, from reception to the restaurant team, was so friendly, attentive and professional. You can tell they're exceptionally well trained, and they made both us and the dogs feel genuinely welcome. Our room had a dog bed, bowls and a dental stick waiting for the dogs, while we were greeted with homemade cookies, chocolates, an Elemis sleep spray and a handwritten card, which was a really nice touch. I also loved that there weren't loads of dog rules. Dogs were welcome throughout the hotel, even on the bed and furniture, and ours happily sat on our laps in the restaurant. Dogs weren't allowed in the main restaurant, but the bar was lovely. The team also brought over water and treats without us asking. The room was lovely with Penhaligon's toiletries, a roll-top bath, separate shower and a huge, super comfy bed. I had a great night's sleep. Dinner was excellent. We shared a selection of small plates and the quality was fantastic. I'd prefer an à la carte breakfast over a buffet (if nothing else, it is more tricky to get buffet food with a dog). However, the buffet was still a really good standard and you could order freshly cooked eggs too. The only things I'd improve are that, being an older building, you can hear through the walls, so it might not be the best fit for reactive dogs. Also, I would have loved a smart TV or the option to cast to the TV in the room. The location is great - a short walk into the town centre and with Richmond Park on your doorstep. There's plenty of parking and EV chargers at the hotel too. I wish I'd used them instead of parking on the road... I came back about 10 minutes late and ended up with a parking ticket! I'd happily stay here again. The service really made the whole experience 👌🏼”
