The Carpenters arms
Just a short walk from Burford, The Carpenters Arms is a family run pub with a large garden and car park. Owned by Siobhan, Tom and Ryan - three friends who met through hotels and restaurants.
Tom - The Chef - was previously Head Chef at Humphreys Restaurant at 5-star hotel Stoke Park. He met his wife Siobhan - The Drinks Wizard - at The Royal Oak in 2014. She previously worked at Cliveden House Hotel in Taplow as Assistant Restaurant Manager where she met Ryan - The Host - who was Restaurant Manager.
They have created a warm, welcoming country pub with a community focus, centered around great food, drinks and hospitality.

About a 10-15 min walk from the heart of Burford, you will find the Carpenters arms. A charming cotswold pub with large outdoor garden. Inside it is a long but narrow shaped pub. We had pre-booked and requested a quiet table with extra seats for the pups and were greeted upon arrival by friendly staff who had already accommodated these wishes with our table assignment. We visited on a Thursday when they have a special grill menu and the food was delicious! A firm favourite was the rhubarb and custard donut - definitely more than your standard pub food! Was even recommended to try some local liquors from the cotswold distillery which was a perfect ending to a lovely meal. And thanks to the considerate staff with our table assignment the pups settled down and enjoyed a snooze whilst we ate. Whilst water/ bowl wasn't provided for the pups, we requested for some additional tap water to fill up our own bowl and was given a jug to do so.
