Nestling in beautiful countryside, with great restaurants and an array of independent shops, Beaminster is a great place to live and a great place to visit. Directly on the town’s main square, Cilla and Camilla occupies two beautiful buildings. This boutique department store is often described as a treasure trove. You’ll find everything from kitchenware to clothes, toys to toiletries, gifts to greetings cards, jewellery to soft furnishings. And, if that wasn’t enough, at the rear of the store, in a coverted barn with outdoor seating in a sun-trap courtyard, is Café @ Cilla & Camilla, offering a fabulous selection of food and drinks throughout the day.

The café serves a variety of teas, coffees and cold drinks together with a selection of locally baked cakes and scones. Throughout the day light meals are served including filled jacket potatoes, soups, toasted sandwiches, quiches and pasties. All food is locally sourced and meals are freshly prepared on the premises.

The Cilla & Camilla Bacon Sandwich is a meal in itself. Served all day, on door steps of ultra-fresh brown or white Evershot Bakery bread, with ketchup, brown sauce or mustard, the sandwich is an item of simple beauty and gastronomic delight.
