English Oak Vineyard

What better way to enjoy the countryside, than to tour an English Sparkling Wine vineyard right here in beautiful Dorset. Surrounded by majestic oaks, this vineyard, previously featured on Ben Fogle's ITV series 'Harbour Lives', offers the perfect location to discover the delights and challenges of producing Sparkling Wine, from 23,000 Pinot and Chardonnay vines, adjoin a 17th century farmhouse, set in tranquil and picturesque surroundings, yet remarkably only 10 minutes drive north from Poole.

Your fascinating tour, conducted by the vineyard owners themselves, takes you outdoors for a relaxed and informative walk through the seemingly endless rows of vines, to discover the couples ‘lifestyle change’ journey, how the vineyard was planted and the work involved in growing grapes to the highest standard required, in the UK’s challenging climate. Then you’ll discover how the wine is skilfully crafted, through all the various stages involved in bringing a range of sparkling wines to market.

The high point of your guided tour is of course a delicious wine tasting, in which you sample the international 'Decanter World Wine Award' winning end product and discover the sensation delights that subtly different blends create on the nose and palate. If you can't resist a souvenir of your visit, the full range of award winning English Oak Sparkling Wines are of course available for purchase at the end of your tour.

You will also discover English Oaks continued commitment to introducing measures creating a sustainable, low carbon footprint business. Solar panels were installed to ensure that the business is run with the benefit of solar power. A fully electric vehicle is used for wine delivery and the owners only operate 100% electric vehicles. In addition, water is sourced from an on-site well, the vines are fed with organic feed and bee hives are to be found dotted around the site.

If you have an electric car, you can charge it at the Vineyard during your visit at the EV charger point. The electricty is generated by solar panels on site.
