Lydney Boating Lake

Lydney Lake is a popular spot for dog walkers in the area. A short walk from the bus station and town centre there's sections ideal for off-lead play, a semi-enclosed field for fetch, a little stream, an old canal at the top through a small wood and a little road leading out towards the docks opposite the bus station entrance. 

On Saturdays there's a dog-friendly Park Run and there's often joggers and cyclists. There's also wild geese and ducks, so do beware if your dog isn't great with these - though they will stand their ground! It is a fishing lake so do try not to disturb those fishing, but I've found they often have treats in their pockets.

Its also lit with street lights at night.
