Perrygrove Railway
Now allowing dogs! For an extra £1 you can now bring your four legged friend to Perrygrove.
For the past 2 years we've been debating this. It's been a really hard decision. Obviously there will be certain restrictions; no dogs on the treehouses, indoor village, or on the seats in the carriages. And you must clean up after them, (bags available from the cafe for free). They will not be allowed 1st to 24th December though because the site is too busy.
Treehouses, Trains and Treasure, whatever the weather.
Armed with a key, clues and a day of fun ahead, explore the whole of Perrygrove to unlock your box of treasure. A trip takes just over 30 minutes but most passengers get off to go to the picnic and play area at Foxy Hollow, or to go treasure hunting or den building in the woods. There is no charge for extra rides – your ticket lasts all day and you can ride the steam train as many times as you like.
There are four stations on our railway, each with paths leading to lovely walks through beautiful woodland. Our Indoor Village is fun for the children and just about big enough for most grown ups too! The Treetop Adventure is great for some outdoor fun, with a slide, bouncy bridge and ladders to climb.
You can enjoy many events throughout the year including Teddy Bears Picnic in May, Cider Sausage & Steam in July, Vintage Working weekend in September, Halloween free in October, Christmas at Perrygrove in December.
Perrygrove is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday all year round and daily in local, (Gloucestershire), school holidays. There is large free car park on site. Perrygrove is based near Coleford on the edge of the Forest of Dean.
