The Boot Inn Pub & Restaurant
The Boot is a relatively small pub with restaurant and adequate outside seating available. Dogs are allowed outside and also in the pub (and snug). Unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but that's completely understandable and the menu is available in the pub as well as the restaurant so you certainly do not miss out on the fantastic food and drinks available. They are incredibly dog friendly and supply you with a dog bowl for water if needed although there are plenty dotted around and outside that are clearly changed regularly. There are also treats on the bar for your four legged friends, and the staff will come over for a cuddle and bring a treat too! Whilst the venue is child friendly, there is no 'entertainment' on site for them so boredom may strike. Take provisions if you are having a family meal. The menu is full and comprehensive with lighter bites if a full meal is not required. They have a lot of vegetarian (and some vegan) choices too on all courses. The main entrance is wheelchair/pushchair friendly with plenty of room however the small door into the non-restaurant side is smaller so some may not be able to access. If you are visiting with your pooches, I would recommend using the side door if you can as this takes you straight into the bar end and therefore restricts the temptation of your dog wanting to steal food. There is parking onsite and a large car park to the rear of the pub. For those of you looking to fuel up before or after a walk, there are a few lovely (and very scenic) routes you can take, some short and some for the more adventurous.
