Leasowes Park
The Leasowes is a historic landscape, listed as Grade I on the English Heritage list of parks and Gardens of historic interest in England. It's situated 30 minutes away from Birmingham City Centre in the heart of Halesowen Town centre. The site has been managed with nature in mind since the mid 18th Century and as such provides a wealth of different habitats for birds, mammals, invertebrates and locally uncommon plant species. The car park is quite large and is free of charge. There are several walks to choose from each one will make you forget that your in the middle of the urban West Midlands. The woodland walk will surprise you with secret waterfalls, springs and streams. Boots are ideal during the wetter months as pathways do get muddy in the wooded area. A perfect place for a short and quiet walk with your four legged friend!
