Simonstone Hall was once home to Lord and Lady Wharncliffe, is a magnificent, privately-owned, country house located on the outskirts of Hawes, at the foot of Stags Fell. Simonstone Hall provides breath-taking views over Upper Wensleydale, the River Ure and the foothills of the Pennines. The views are best appreciated from the terrace at the front of the hotel; a perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea or a pre-dinner drink on a summer's day. Simonstone Hall is the ultimate retreat: comfortable, tranquil and 'grand' in the traditional country-house style. Dogs are welcome in the bar area, the orangery and on the terrace. Dogs cannot enter the dining room. Dogs are provided with a water bowl, a selection of treats and lots of attention and ear rubs. Simonstone Hall Hotel has a selection of dog furiendly rooms, there is a £25 rate for dogs per night. The dog furiendly rooms come with a doggy welcome pack, containing poo bags, treats and the room has water and bowls in the room. Simonstone has it's own resident peacock and chickens, so all dogs must be kept on a lead.
