Dracula Experience
Dogs are allowed to accompany their owners in The Dracula Experience, a singular journey exploring the story of Dracula and its ties to the town of Whitby. Upon entry, visitors are engulfed by a terrifying fear, amplified by the Count's enigmatic appearance and spine-chilling warning, causing them to question their decision to come to Whitby at all. The narrative of Dracula, penned by Bram Stoker in Whitby, was inspired by the town's eerie ambiance and ghostly legends. The tour features an innovative segment, a new cinema that screens an in-house produced film. This movie delves into the history of the real Dracula, Vlad Tepes, in Transylvania, elucidating how it influenced Stoker's famous novel. Whitby is not only the birthplace of the book but also the setting for many scenes within the story. Interestingly, some of Bram Stoker's research for "Dracula" occurred in the very building that once served as The Captain's Reading Rooms.
