Eagle & Child

Built in 1640, our Grade II* listed timber framed pub is a picture postcard example of what makes York so special.The Eagle is famous for its range of cask ales/craft beer and interesting selection of gins. All of our food is homemade and freshly prepared, and we work closely with local suppliers to keep our dishes as seasonal and interesting as possible. The Rolling Stones hung out in our top floor bar in the 60s- their signatures in lipstick are still on the wall!
