National Trust - Hardcastle Crags

Image

Hardcastle Crags is a beautiful wooded valley situated in the South Pennines with more than 400 acres of woodland. It also features tumbling streams, glorious waterfalls and stacks of millstone grit. With over 15 miles of footpaths for you to explore, Hardcastle Crags is a brilliant place for a day out with your dog. Whether you fancy a relaxing stroll through the woodland or a more challenging hike up the valley, there’s lots for you and your furry friend to get up to. Dogs are welcome to join you in the café too.

Water bowls can be found in the yard at Gibson Mill and there is a poo bin located near the mill.

Please keep your dog on a short lead near the edges of the woodland, where livestock graze in neighbouring fields.
