Doggie policy from resident dog “Halle Berry”

Dear Doggie Friend,

Thank you for your reservation at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Health Club and Spa. I’m “Halle Berry” and I’m Killyhevlin’s dog. I’ve a few important rules you ought to let your accompanying human know about which will make your stay as enjoyable as everyone else’s:

Dogs are asked to remain on the tiled floor areas of the foyer while being checked-in and out. Dogs are not permitted beyond the tiled area and into public lounge and or dining areas. Dogs are not permitted to sit on the furniture in the foyer or other internal public areas: we must consider those with allergies and those who just don’t want to share a comfy sofa with us – well, we can be a hairy lot!! Dogs must be exercised on their leads at all times when on hotel premises and always kept under control even when resident in a chalet: we can’t appear in the background of someone’s bridal photos and there are lots of cars, pedestrians, other dogs and we’re so close to the lake with a strong current. When doggies “do” what doggies “do”, your human must clean up immediately as the hotel grounds are used by everyone and, as not everyone likes us anyway, why give a dog a bad name!! There are bins round the car park. Dogs that get lonely, pine, sulk, take fright and bark continuously may be asked to leave and that would be very embarrassing (especially if other residents have been disturbed and refunded because your barking spoiled their stay); your human will have to organise themselves to keep you comforted. Dogs who “sin” in bedrooms and bathrooms will be fined: they fine humans who misbehave too! Rooms (and chalets) with doggie occupants will not be serviced until your human is present to stay with you or housekeeping is informed you have all left the room: not all dogs welcome strangers and our housekeepers aren’t all very brave with dogs. Exceptions are naturally made for those experienced, professional and registered working dogs assisting their humans with day to day life. Badly behaved dogs could get all dogs banned and I’d miss meeting you all!! Please keep safe and be good. I hope you do enjoy your stay and there are so many lovely places to take your human for a walk: National Trust properties like Castlecoole and Florencecourt with houses for your people to visit or there’s Cladagh Glen, Cuilcagh Way, Ely Forest, Castle Caldwell and even the Big Dog Walk, Big Dog Forest at Marble Arch Caves!

Woof Woof!! “Halle Berry”
