Kilmaneen Farmhouse
Pet friendly farmhouse B&B in Tipperary
We have been welcoming dogs for many years now and we have seen all shapes and sizes. The Dog Shows in Clonmel over the first weekend in May and again in August are especially busy and we really enjoy seeing how the dogs are prepared for the big event.
When we go on holidays we sometimes bring Dora & Sal with us and we know how good it is not to be worrying about them settling into a kennel or being looked after by somebody that they don’t know. Guests are welcome to bring their dogs into the Cottage on a B&B basis or self-catering. We also provide the option of safe and secure kennels nearby in the farmyard.
Of course, we always appreciate when dogs and owners respect the accommodation which we provide and that they are considerate of other guests.
What’s a farm without a dog? With Kilmaneen, the great thing is that Fido gets to come too. Our award-winning four-star BB farmhouse in Tipperary lets you book your dog in to one of our kennels for the duration of your stay or book a self-catering cottage and your dog can stay indoors with you.
The farm has been in the family for six generations and sits in a Special Area of Conservation, aka a quiet, unspoilt, rural setting. What’s more, they use environmentally friendly farming practices, so it’s likely to stay that way.
As well as wandering the land and gardens, there’s private fishing on the farm’s stretch of the rivers Suir and Tar plus hill-walking in the Knockmealdown, Comeragh and Galtee Mountains. The Rock of Cashel, fresh from its brush with the world’s press, is nearby too. Having worked up an appetite on those, it’s nice to know you can request a home-cooked meal on your return – with home grown fruit and veg and Aberdeen Angus beef from the field next door.
