The world famous Blue John Cavern in Castleton in the Peak District has been said to be the finest that can be seen by the general public in Western Europe. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour during which time a series of magnificent natural water-worn caverns are seen. Blue John can be seen in it's natural state along with stalactites, stalagmites and huge caverns. Dogs on lead are permitted on tours.

Fascinating tour, but beware, there are a lot of narrow steps!

Very covid safe with strict rules on masks and hand cleaning stations throughout.
