General Information The park is set in beautiful countryside just south of Ruddington. It is an ideal place for many activities, with a network of over 8 kilometres of footpaths.

Visitors can do many things including:

Walking Cycling Running and jogging Dog walking Wildlife spotting Exercising dogs, including Coppers agility course Picnics Space for children to play, and a large play area Skateboarding in the skate park 4x / BMX track Adult excerise equipment Two table tennis tables.

Accessibility The park is accessible to wheelchair users via the car park entrance or from Barleylands in Ruddington. The paths around the lake are flat, with minor slopes around the rest of the Country Park. There are toilets with disabled access.

Out of park opening hours, the access gates are: outside the Rangers office at Barleylands on The Avenue and at the far end of the car park. A National Key Scheme (NKS) RADAR key opens these gates. These are the same keys that open disabled access toilets elsewhere. Please lock the gate behind you.

Opening Times The park is open 365 days a year. Please note that the visitor centre and public toilets in the log cabin building are closed and the Ranger service not available on: Christmas Day Boxing Day New Years Day. Access to some of the composting toilets will still be available during Christmas and New Year. The car park opens every morning at 8am and locked at closing time: 4pm from November - February 6pm from March - October. However, cars already in the car park will still be able to exit over the 'alligator teeth'. The park is still accessible at other times via the pedestrian access points.

Parking Access to the park is free. You can use the visitor's car park for just £1 for your whole visit (up to a full day). The parking charge helps fund park maintenance, improve the quality of the car park and increase the number of parking spaces for visitors. If you are a regular visitor, you may like an annual season ticket (parking pass). To purchase one, apply online on the Broxtowe Borough Council website.
