Attenborough Nature Reserve
Beautiful, scenic walks can be found at Attenborough Nature Reserve. We were disappointed to find out the cafe and information centre weren't dog friendly but you can't have it all. Toilets can be found on site in the information centre. This place is great for young kids! There is a free car park but for those wanting a longer walk, why not walk to Attenborough from The Trent Lock which is a dog friendly pub. It's a nice walk next to the lock but the brambles can be a little overgrown in places. For those wanting to picnic there is a seating area next to the information centre. There are opportunities for dogs to swim but I did see signs (a while back) about blue green algae in the area. There are also lots of ducks about.
