Southwold Beach
Southwold beach is perfect for dog walking - note that dogs are only allowed on the north beach between October to April.At the top, north end of the beach there is Southwold Pier. There are a couple of cafe’s on the pier, serving a selection of hot and cold, food and drinks. Most of the cafes are dog friendly.Beach huts line the beach from the north end, to the beginning of the south beach and there is a small cafe here serving bacons rolls, teas, coffees.The south beach is perfect for dogs - soft sand and some dunes to play in too! The south beach is open all year round to dogs and is a popular choice for a cool down in the summer.Parking is readily available with car parks at both ends of the beach, there is a fee but it is not too pricey. Free parking is available on the side of the road.

We enjoyed a lovely stroll from the carpark into the town, it'd be easily done in half an hour. Lotso had so much fun exploring the dunes and they offered me great shelter from the coastal winds! On a warmer day a play on the beach is wonderful too!
