Located in Keswick, the home of the first pencil, visitors enter this museum through a replica graphite mine which would have served as the source of the pencil. Museum and Cafe both dog friendly.

We went along mostly out of curiosity - just how much can you talk about pencils? The answer is, quite a lot! From the history of graphite mining to the art of hiding maps and messages in them in WW2, there's plenty to see.
Staff were very friendly towards the dog.
