“I genuinely loved our stay at The Avocet. It’s actually only about 15 minutes from home, but it felt like a proper escape and I could have happily stayed for a week 🤭 The house sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms and the finish throughout is gorgeous. It feels really premium, with loads of space to spread out. If you were staying as a big family, I feel like everyone could do their own thing without feeling on top of each other. The welcome hamper was one of the best I’ve had, packed with goodies from The Garlic Farm, plus Prosecco and milk waiting for us. The dogs were looked after too, with their own box containing treats, bowls and even cleaning products, which is actually very sensible. The enclosed garden, hot tub, gas BBQ and sea views were all highlights. The only thing I’d mention is that you can hear dogs in neighbouring gardens, so I probably wouldn’t recommend it for reactive dogs. Dogs also aren’t allowed upstairs or on the furniture unless you use blankets, so maybe not for dogs with separation anxiety. At around £450 a night with a 3 night minimum stay, it’s definitely a luxury stay, but if you manage to get 8 people together, it works out at around £50 each per night. For the quality of the house, I actually think that’s really good value. I can’t wait to go back! 🫶🏼”
