The Wychwood Inn is an award winning, family run Cotswold restaurant, hotel and pub located in the picturesque village of Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire.

Shortened to 'Shipton' by locals, this small village sits on the edge of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

They are lucky to be surrounded by historical sites and beautiful countryside; through which our guests can walk, bike or even boat.

The Wychwood Inn is the Cotwolds’ is a super dog friendly pub and country inn.

They have two dog friendly areas within our traditional Cotswold pub. With your dog at your feet, you can enjoy your favourite tipple, relish a delicious meal or enjoy a small bar snack.

Dogs are welcome to stay over night too - taking advantage of the ‘bed and breakfast’ facilities. Furry friends can sleep in the room for a small fee.

They know some dogs and their owners can’t be separated - even during breakfast. They are happy to lay a breakfast table in the dog friendly areas, if you let them know your requirements when you check in.

The Wychwood Inn provides little extras for all types of canines - dog biscuits are provided on the bar, and water bowls can be found outside the entrance to our main bar area. Perfectly placed for tired pups, after a long Cotswold walk. They allow dogs in the large garden area as well but do ask you to be vigilant in cleaning up after them.

A public playing field is situated just opposite the building - perfect for a short morning stroll, or some evening exercise
