The Hermitage (Dunkeld)
The Hermitage at Dunkeld is a must visit walk! Absolutely stunning scenery and a fabulous walk for all.
Cared for by the National Trust for Scotland. This stretch of magical Perthshire forest was an 18th-century pleasure ground for the Dukes of Atholl. Giant Douglas firs tower over you as you take the path to the roaring Black Linn waterfall, where the River Braan crashes into the deep, foaming pools below. Deep in the woods, discover the picturesque 18th-century folly known as Ossian’s Hall, which overlooks the stunning waterfall.
Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and you can sometimes see the salmon leaping up the falls in Autumn!

The Hermitage, Old Military Road, Dunkeld, UK
This spot is one of our Autumn walks - it's a must if in the area. The woodlands are so pretty. A clear path walkway so you cant get too lost (we are good at that normally!!) and we visit in autumn usually because the setting is even more stunning and it's a bit quieter.
