Ravensheugh Beach, East Lothian
This has to be one of our favourite beaches to visit in East Lothian. There is parking at Lime Tree Walk (a £2.00 per day charge applies but your ticket is transferrable to other East Lothian coastal car parks on that day). Walk along the woodland paths and then out, at low tide, on to a long stretch of sandy beach with wonderful views to Bass Rock and across the Firth of Forth. While busy at weekends, it is a relatively peaceful spot during weekdays and evenings.

We recommend not going at the weekend as the carpark does get busy then but this is one of our favourite beaches. After a wee walk through the woods (past some interesting wwii features ) you reach an expanse of sandy beach and some stunning views of Bass Rock. My reactive dog loves coming here as I can let him off safe in the knowledge that i can call him back when I spot other dogs that would upset him. Watch the tide times as there is one cliff you cant get past when it starts coming in but there is still an alternative longer route back to where you parked.
