THE PERFECT SPACE TO ENJOY A WIDE VARIETY OF EVENTS... OR SIMPLY GRAB A DRINK! Barras Art and Design is a restaurant, bar and event space in the heart of the historical Barras Market. This unique venue is the perfect place for a number of different events including large dinners, music gigs, art exhibitions, markets or as simply a place to relax under the beautiful atrium in our courtyard. Markets run every Sunday between 11am - 4pm and are both family & dog friendly, enjoy brunch, lunch or just some beers in The Calton Taproom afterwards. The restaurant at BAaD A’Challtainn, is the ideal tropical oasis to celebrate the bountiful offering from Scottish seas. The chefs at A’Challtainn create unforgettable dishes with innovative use of colour and the freshest ingredients. As well as being the perfect place for dining at any time of the day, a number of our spaces are available to hire, from intimate dinners to large celebrations, weddings, BBQs and everything in-between. Once a week they hold their own Barras market within the indoor courtyard area. Set in the heart of the Barras they are all about celebrating their heritage as the Original Glasgow Marketplace! They warmly welcome dogs and have even hosted dog Christmas parties in the past.
