The Fairy Pools, Isle of Skye
The Fairy Pools are a must see if you are visiting the Isle of Skye! At the foot of the Black Cuillins near Glenbrittle you find them and the beautiful crystal clear blue pools. If you are brave enough to enter the water they have been known to be one of the best places to wild swim.
The walk to the pools uses the same route there and back and can be quite treacherous when the water levels are high as there are various points that you need to cross the water on stepping stones.
There is a paid car park that gets busy very quickly with limited spaces so get there early to avoid disappointment!
If your dog loves water, they’re going to have the best time at the Fairy Pools. The walk follows a clear river dotted with waterfalls and crystal-clear pools, making it one of Skye’s most photographed spots. It’s a lovely walk that feels adventurous without being too difficult, and there are plenty of places for your dog to paddle along the way. Waterproof boots are definitely recommended as the path can get muddy after rain.
