Cambus o'May

This woodland in Aberdeenshire is a great place to spot dragonflies, red squirrels and black grouse.

There are trails leading to view points and past shallow lochans with interpretative panels and picnic benches, as well as narrow paths twisting between Scots pines and boulders for the more active.

The area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological features, and recent timber work is improving the structure of the wood, thinning the Scots pine and removing some of the small stands of spruce.

The car park boasts a picnic area and beautiful views of the woodland.
