Paired this castle with nearby Kildrummy Castle. Dogs aren't permitted indoors, but you're free to wander about the strange shaped walls and take turns going in. The site was originally shut when we arrived owing to the staff member having lunch - thankfully we had brought a picnic and enjoyed it in the field whilst we waited.
