The Kings Arms Hotel, Castle Douglas

The small town of Kirkubright is also known as the Artists Town this hotel and pub was very welcoming and made a fuss of the dog. Dogs are provided with fresh water.

The hotel is only a 2-minute walk from the town centre and dogs stay free.

The food was typical pub grub but had a good menu with plenty of choices and the food itself was very good.

Although it’s not obvious from the outside that the hotel is dog friendly the staff were very accommodating.
