Whether you're stopping for food or for the night, this lovely place will give you a warm welcome the moment you step through the door. Our four-legged friends are allowed in the bar area if getting a bite to eat or drink.
They have an extensive menu filled with a wide selection of dishes. Their meals are created using the finest local ingredients from the Scottish larder. If you and your pooch are staying the night, you can enjoy four of their spacious and comfortable rooms. Dog's are allowed to stay the night for free too - bargain!

We've stayed at the Tigh na Mara several times now with different dogs and love it so much we keep coming back. We've stayed in the Cabin and the Front Cottage both of which are fine for small to medium dogs, but if you have a larger dog, like our 35kg labrador then the Middle Cottage is probably more suitable. There is also a Back cottage, but I haven't seen the size of this, so can't comment on the size. All benefit from their own main door access to the outside for early morning or late night doggy toileting needs. Dogs are allowed in the main bar and you can also eat in here with your pooch. You could even have breakfast in here. Dogs are also allowed in the snug area of the main restaurant as this can be accessed from the door opposite the bar. I would advise that you phone ahead to book though, as this area can be used for private parties, so is subject to availability. You can also leave your dog in the room if you or they prefer to be somewhere quieter. Food at the Tigh na Mara is absolutely excellent and has lots of locally sourced options. A great find for doggies and their humans alike.
