Image

The Oban Bay Hotel sits on the bay with lovely views across to the isles. This dog friendly hotel allows well-behaved dogs in public areas of the hotel and they also have a resident dog called Lexi. A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted in all hotel guest rooms at £12 extra per dog per night. Dog bowls, beds and biscuits can be provided on request should you forget and leave these at home.

The hotel is a short 10-minute walk to the centre of Oban by simply walking along the front of the bay. In addition to that, there are some lovely scenic walks locally to the hotel for you to enjoy such as Pulpit Hill or McCaig's Tower. The hotel has free wifi and whilst there is no car park on site, there is a free car park just around the corner called the Cathedral Car Park.

We had such a lovely stay at the Oban Bay Hotel with our dog, Opie. They couldn't have been more accommodating for him if they tried. The room was nicely decorated and cosy, as was the bar area. We spent some time by the fire drinking prosecco whilst Opie played with the resident dog, which was bliss! The views from the hotel across the bay are lovely, the food was delicious and everything was so reasonably priced. All the rooms are dog friendly here and there must have been at least 10 dogs in the bar during the evening. My only criticism was that there is only one check in desk so it did take a while to check in. In terms of location, there are some lovely walking routes nearby as well as a number of dog friendly cafes/ restaurants/ bars in close proximity. I would recommend this hotel a thousand times over.
