The Cart Shed

Image

Dating from the 18th century, this charming cottage has stunning original arched windows, and was originally the cart shed for the stables. Set in 4 acres of woodland and close to the quaint village of Failford, this detached 18th-century cottage has stunning original arched windows and is a short walk away from the River Ayr Way. It provides a tranquil base from which to explore the beauty of Ayrshire and south west Scotland. Ayrshire offers unspoilt scenery and a varying coastline with the Ayrshire Coastal Path (a long distance walking route winding 100 miles along one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles) being easily accessed. Inland, there are gardens and castles to visit, as well as riding, racing, golf and country parks. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Stranraer, and both Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily reached for a day out. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
