Golf course The opening times for Barshaw Golf Course are:
Summer: Monday to Friday - 7.30 am to 9pm Saturday and Sunday* -7am to 9pm
Winter: Monday to Sunday* 8.30am to 4pm
- Children must be accompanied by a playing adult on Saturdays and Sundays.
Model railway The park operates a model railway during the summer.

This is a big park with lots fof space for dogs to run around. There are also walks round the park, away from the main grassy areas, great for exercise and investigating. There is a cafe with toilets located inside the grounds as well as a play-park for children. A mini railway is also situated within the park but it is not in operation at the moment. Hopefully it will be up and running again soon.
Even though there is parking it can get quite busy, as the park seems to be a favourite with families as well as dog walkers. I would suggest getting there early. Fun, and essentially free, day out for the whole family!
