Greenan Castle
Greenan Castle is a 16th-century ruined tower house, on the sea cliffs. You can enjoy the castle with your dog, but for saftey, do not scale the front - go around and through the bush, there is a path you can follow behind the rock, failing that go through the field but it's a slightly longer walk. Lovely beach below the castle, fairy pools, sometimes there are wild campers on the grass behind the beach.

It's not somewhere I would recommend going for the day, unless you're at the beach anyway. It's a nice walk up to the castle from along the beach, from Ayr Town and back its about 6 miles so great for someone who likes to take long walks with their dog, and there's loads of space to play and train. Gorgeous views on the beach, and from the castle, but if you're just going to see the castle, pick a different one to go to.
