Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre

Image

Nant Yr Arian visitor centre is a great place to walk if you are near to or staying in Aberystwyth. With spectacular views over the countryside and out to sea, it is a scenic setting with a visitor centre which serves food and drinks from 10am until 5pm. Nant Yr Arian is well known to be one of the best places in the UK for mountain biking but is also used by runners and horse riders. It is a great place to see the daily feeding of the red kites which are Wales' natural birds of prey. The red kites are fed by the lake daily at 2pm in winter and 3pm in summer. Just under the visitor centre is a beautiful lake which provides an excellent dog walk and there are also maps available for both the miner's and ridgetop trails. At the side of the visitor centre is a children's play area. There is also a shop at the centre which sells wood crafts, bottled welsh beer, books and a selection of gifts.
