St Dogmaels Coach House & Abbey Grounds

Image

Founded in 1120 on the site of an earlier pre-Norman church, St Dogmael’s status as a religious centre can be seen in extensive ruins which span four centuries of monastic life.

The abbey’s restored Coach House is now home to a museum and visitor centre that sheds light on several centuries of Christian life via artefacts that take you on a journey through time. There’s also an impressive computer-generated reconstruction of the abbey at its 15th-century peak.

Dogs on leads welcome to access ground floor levels of the site.

Dogs on leads are welcome inside the cafe where treats and water are provided upon request.

There is also an award winning local producer's market held every Tuesday at the site from 9-1. Offering you a taste of Pembrokeshire's finest local food.

There is always a warm welcome for dogs as well as humans!
