HILLS, Brecon

Hidden away next to a camp site, this family run burger restaurant welcomes a flurry of customers and their furry four legged friends.

Dogs are welcome inside but there are also tables outside if you’d like to enjoy the sun admiring the stunning view. Water is provided and the staff make time to come and give a fuss.

They change their burger menu each month and usually have a theme with it so keeps you coming back to try their new inventions. A cocktail bar is located just inside where they serve cocktails and many other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

With tables spaced around the restaurant it leaves plenty of room for dogs of all shapes and sizes without that cramped feeling.

After visiting the hills before I had no idea that it was dog friendly so was very excited to take the pooch (Poppy) and sample the BEST burger I’ve ever had! Me and my friends were on our way home from a little trip in North Wales and had booked a table the week before and we were not disappointed!

Staff were very friendly and welcomed Poppy when they saw her. We had Pre booked our food beforehand but I couldn’t bear to see Poppys sad face watching me eat my burger so I asked the waiter randomly if I could order a single patty burger. He asked the chef and assured me it wouldn’t be a problem. I had her bowls in my bag so when it came on the plate i shredded it and placed it in the bowl on the floor next to me. Safe to say it diverted her attention from my burger for 0.3 seconds! I had a very happy piggie on my hands and thanked the staff for being so kind and accommodating! Will 100% be back again when we go on a little trek around Brecon in the new year!
